久々にぁゃιぃ投稿のお誘いが来た話

　久々にISA関連の国際会議で発表したら、さっそくぁゃιぃ投稿と出版のお誘いが来ました。皆様もお気をつけあそばせ。

　先日のエントリで書いた通り、ISA（国際社会学会）RC20&RC33による連携国際会議で研究報告を行ったところです。

　報告自体は、少なくとも自分にとっては非常に有意義なものになりました。積極的なコメントも頂けましたし。それに対する応答がちゃんとできなかったのは悔やまれますが……

　もっとも、こういう世界規模の会議で報告すると、厄介な副産物がついてきます。「うちのジャーナルに掲載しませんか？」「うちで出版しますよ」というお誘いです。

　これらのほとんどは、いわゆるハゲタカジャーナル、ハゲタカ出版というヤツです。掲載料目当てに粗雑な査読で論文を掲載してしまう雑誌で、誘いに乗って原稿を送ったが最後、高額の掲載料を請求されるばかりか、論文が掲載されたら研究者としての信用や名誉をかえって傷つけてしまうという恐ろしいものです。

　私の場合、2014年に横浜で行われたISAで報告を行ってから、この手のお誘いメールがワッと押し寄せてきて、ハゲタカジャーナル・出版の脅威を認識した次第です。

　ただ、最近はコロナ禍で研究が低調なおかげで（苦笑）ほとんどご無沙汰になっていたのですが、久々にこんなメールが来ました。以下長いですが全文引用します。

Information for Authors

The manuscript should be original, and has not been published previously. Do not submit material that is currently being considered by another journal.

Manuscripts may be 4000-12000 words or longer if approved by the editor, including an abstract, texts, tables, footnotes, appendixes, and references. The title should be on page 1 and not exceed 15 words, and should be followed by an abstract of 100-200 words. 3-5 keywords or key phrases are required.

The manuscript should be in MS Word format, submitted as an email attachment to our email address.

The standard publication fee in the journal is 60 US dollars per page, and the pages are calculated based on the layout of the printed journal.

Authors of the articles being accepted are required to sign up the Transfer of Copyright Agreement form.

Author will receive one hard copy of the journal containing their articles.

Peer Review Policy

Sociology Study is a refereed journal. All research articles in this journal undergo rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and anonymised refereeing by at least two anonymous referees.

Editorial Procedures

All papers considered appropriate for this journal are reviewed anonymously by at least two outside reviewers. The review process usually takes four weeks. Papers are accepted for publication subject to no substantive, stylistic editing. The editor reserves the right to make any necessary changes in the papers, or request the author to do so, or reject the paper submitted. A copy of the edited paper along with the first proofs will be sent to the author for proofreading. They should be corrected and returned to the editor within seven days. Once the final version of the paper has been accepted, authors are requested not to make further changes to the text.
